Last weekend we planed on going fishing at Palm Beach at the Northern Beaches. So, we went early so we could catch the evening views. It was lovely evening and at 6.30pm it was still sunny and warm.
There is still many locals having picnics and swimming at the time.
Not to mentions all the nice boats park at the deeper side of the water. The water is calm here so its safe to swim. By the way this was my second time coming here but before was already dark so no nice views like this.
We didn’t notice this sign before. But after consult the land_based_fishing group in fb they said its ok to fish here as long as you clean up the mess.
We decided to look for other places to fish though since we are not so sure if its really okay to fish in Palm Beach. So we went to this Whale Beach it was on the other side of the land, just Waze for it if you have doubt. After a long haul to look for this beach we finally arrived. Whale beach is wide and the sand is golden brown colour (very unique). The waves is very strong and we saw other people fishing there as well.
Its hard to fish here, even with heavy sinker and fishing line doesn’t sink properly and keep coming back to the beach. Ive told my partner to get a proper gear as beach fishing isn’t as easy as the fishing on the wharf, especially the one with super strong waves hehe… Next time perhaps.
Lucky we brought some home cook canton fried noodles. We had dinner on the beach while watching the waves and sunsets.
Yup, thats Palm Beach Wharf night view. we came back to Palm Beach at 9pm because its safer here. We cast our lines from the beach and not from the wharf; technically legal =). Didn’t catch any fish though, quiet night. Even the people thats on the wharfs seems to catch nothing that night.
The Heritage Bakery – On our way to Ulladulla, we saw this bakery on a very old building. It was right next to the traffic light and many people were seen having a great time in the bakery’s cafe’s. Thus, i decided we must drop by to see if there is any good in there.
This Bakery was known to be established in 2003 in a town called Milton; one of the oldest historical building of the region. I guess it must have been since the 1870 as in the building photo.
Some of the cakes & pastries has no names.
This bakery does not accept cash transaction. So if you have to cards, you wont be able to make a purchase. I do love the way they does this in a very ancient building though – very advanced if i may say; despite on how this building look =).
Another interesting thing is if you bring your own cup, you get 50% off for the coffee. We didn’t buy any coffee at the time.
Bought these ( empty burger buns, Heritage Steak Pie and no name cake). The Meat pie is one of the best I’ve tried so far apart from the home made sold in Jindabyne’s.
This cake is very delicious. Im sure there is a secret ingredients. The layers was top in cream (most likely custard) and the hard icing top is the only sweet thing on it. When you bite, make sure to bite from top to bottom, the only way to get the full taste! Awesome one!
The year of 2018 we/i started with beach fishing! Blacksmiths is a coastal suburb of the City of Lake Macquarie in New South Wales, Australia adjacent to the Pacific Ocean 24 kilometres south of Newcastle’s central business district, between the suburbs of Belmont and Swansea (wikipedia).
The photo above taken on the way to blacksmith. I could see boat stopping by the sand and families enjoys the white sandy, crystal clear water and the blue skies. Such a lovely hot day!
The slides shows the view when i stepped into the beach. Its wide and long thus plenty spaces for everyone. If you have a 4×4 you can drive up here too.
It was a hot windy day lucky i had my cap & scarf on!
We started fishing when the tides is up but there’s still many people walking on the beach. This is my first time beach fishing so now i know you must be in the water and waves in order to get good shot LOOOLL. But wasn’t nice when it gets darker and colder!
Yess thats a shark but small one, and No we didn’t keep him its illegal we know.
Its really windy at this time and getting cold too. I need to get my jackets ready next time.
Thats my new years adventures and i hope more to come =)
Hello lovelies its been months i’m out of the grid how are you guys? Today i would like to share this week experience using this moisturiser from Skinfood. I bought this some time last year and only have the chance to try this time. It was on sale RM1 and shipping cost was 30X more!!
Unboxing – To my surprise the bottle aka packaging is pretty awesome! The weight of the packaging really feels luxury and there is spatula included for hygiene purposes.
There’s a plastic lid inside the bottle after opening. and the smell, reminds me of the olden days “Hazeline Snow” that I saw 20+ years ago.
The texture is creamy, lightweight, moisturising, fast absorbing and non sticky. Make sure you put less if you have oily skin but more if dry skin. I have combination skin in Malaysia but because I’m in Sydney now, the weather change make my skin a bit dry so this is good for dry weather especially in summer! This cream also good during night time in the cooler weather (apply more). Normally the skin dries out after 4 hours if the moisturiser is not moist enough but this one last all night.
Mind sharing your budget moisturiser/hydration cream/gel?
