As we all know Resorts World is everywhere In Malaysia, Philippine and also in SG.

3.3 Beach Station, Sentosa Island

As we walk we found a monorail station not far from USS gate and its free ride since its still new. We walked towards the crowds and wait for the monorail and head to Palawan Beach at the very end of the station.

Monorail Station – Beach Station

It was hot and humid. After a while we start to sweat and sticky. It was a long walk and yeah this one is unexpected.

We finally reached the Palawan Beach in the end and there’s many people chilling here, having picnics with friends and families and some just taking a swim . Impressive man made islands and beaches.

Please plan your budget ahead if you wanna do this. Shopping  earlier days makes us put this in the wish list . *wink*

There’s also few nice rides here (which we don’t expect to bump into), as well =(. Due to time constraint we keep walking to see what else they offer  (after the photos below). So much of a “Singapore is not so big to finish in 2 days” – said my partner as this part of the island was still in construction many many years ago when he came. Now we are chasing time to explore (@@).

We walked to the end of the beach and found Shangri-La’s Rasa Sentosa Resorts. From this point we walk along Imbiah Walk then found Siloso Point Bus Stop. The day is getting dark and we followed everyone else taking the bus. To our surprised we were sent to VivoCity Mall at the Harbour Front. Now, thats the catch. Supposedly this free ride is for the resorts guest but we accidentally went with it and went out of Sentosa. Well, we didn’t managed to visit The Merlion because we thought we have enough time to come back there by Monorail but now we are out of the Island, perhaps we can go back again next time? Our innocent bought us the free ride though. I guess my mission to take photo with the “Merlion” statue is gone for the second time. Yesterday at the Marina Bay Sand I didn’t managed as well because it’s late and “The Merlion” on the bay front already been switched off, no lights & no water coming out of its mouth =((. Someday!!! Sighhhh….

3.4 VivoCity Mall

So yeah, this a a good sign to be able to visit this mall out of the plan, at least going into the air conditioned again after hours of walking. Entering the mall and saw the phone charging station and since my phone is on the low bat I went straight to it. Its very easy to operate this thing just put any finger you like as it require a finger print to open & unlock, and its foc.

This mall is pretty descent with a train station attached to it make it easy for anyone coming over. Perhaps most tourist here is from Sentosa Resorts!

We decided to be adventurous today and take the train back. We will take the line from Harbour Front to Outram Park (Interchange, Punggol Line) then to Lavender (Pasir Line). We estimated walking around 10-15 minutes to reach the hotel from Lavender Station. The fare is cheap only cost $3.80 for us both! Recommended for those who seeks adventure and save  $$$ =).

Singapore Trip Part-2.2

Garden By The Bay

img_9634

Credit: Garden by The Bay website

As we all know this time around is the season for Lantern Festival (Moon Cake Festival/Mid Autumn) so we decided to celebrates the night of the lights at the Garden by the Bay. From”Garden by The Bay’  website photos that we see, it is one magnificent photo and we would want to see what they have there. Thus after Orchard rd. walk, we decided to go by taxi around 5.30pm.

img_7921
Garden By The Bay

When we arrived, we saw many people; families, groups, tours, children from all over age range. The park is actually a nature park consist of 102 hectares that consist of Bay South Garden, Bay East Garden and Bay Central Garden. Well, thats not what we expected! Another long haul walk to finish this Park but this is just the beginning.

img_7922

Then we realised there are two cooled conservatories which is 1)the Flower Dome and 2)the Cloud Forest. Both are a super huge glass house. So we made our way to the ticketing counter and hope to catch the lanterns once we done.

img_7924
Going to the Ticketing Counter

We have to turn twice to find the entrance, you’ll have to walk around the “glasshouse”to get to the ticketing counter to access the Cloud Forest and the Flower Dome, both entrance is opposite each other.

img_7925
Admissions Prices

We noticed that the last time to enter each garden is at 9pm and now is 7.24pm so we will be a bit rushed. The price for two conservatories is 28$ for tourist. We didn’t have time to use the skyway though, maybe next time.

1. Flower Dome

Upon Stepping inside windy chill weather and its fully air conditioned. These plants are so lucky to not experience heat in this tropical country!

It’s just kind of weather that everyones like – High Land weather. So many lights. My photo’s bit dark because of all these dim lights.

There’s lots of strange shape looking plants too like the cactus in the photo above. I saw signage of Flower Dome Cafe while we walk but too bad we can’t check it out because of time constrain. It would be nice to come early and sip coffee and enjoy the weather and the views, probably next time!

2. Cloud Forest

After almost one hour at the Flower Dome we finally entering the Cloud Forest. The entrance was impressive there is a mist and a 35 metre indoor waterfall (the highest indoor waterfall in the world!). I only have a “WOW” facto in mind at the time. If someday we lost all the forest due to human self destruct & global warming, this will be the only place to see one.

It felt really chilled with the mist, feels like raining from the 35 feet waterfall; plus theres so many Wood Dragon Sculpture around. How does this Cloud Forest Felt after Visitor Time Finished yea? Must be scary.

We cant spend time at the gallery because the place is almost close. I only managed to grab 1 small souvenirs *sad*. They close sharp at 10pm! I wish they have souvenirs machine outside though at least i can buy some from the  machines.

3. The Lantern

Spectacular architecture. just like the conservatories! Means, daylight during the day and save energy. So many shops here but all were closed. This morning our Uber guy was saying “you need around 5 days to tour Singapore so that you have enough time”. Only by then we realise that its so much to see and 3 nights isn’t enough!

We took a peek from outside of the Casino but we didn’t enter as we were wearing shorts and felt inappropriate. So this one to be visit next time =).

If you’re plan to come here, do come early and take lots of photos.

Singapore Trip Part-2.1

Orchard Rd.

Good morning SG it’s the second day today being here. Before heading out I went to the mini mart just down the hotel and get my tourist prepaid sim card else i cant online and during this trip *wink*.  Well there you go as in the pic below I got 100G data, 500mins local call and 20mins IDD, valid for 5 day and cost only 15$. Who can finish 100G in 5 days?

Singtel
Sing_Tel

Then we head straight to Orchard Rd by UBER. Its pretty cheap and wont take long to get one as there’s lot of UBER driver around the corner.

UBER
UBER

At Orchard Rd, we went to one of the Food Junction – (food court) to have lunch. Theres so many stalls to choose from but we decided to have Beef Soup noodle, Beef black pepper rice and bbq chicken wings. The food portion is big and we barely finish the food.

Cosmetic’s in in Guardian Drug Store

Im impressed by the price tag display, Malaysia counterpart should use the digital price tag display too, its really not environmental friendly with printing all these papers and inconvenient to customer when the tag is missing plus when the bar reader is not working.

It’s fun to see all the never ending malls while walking on Orchard rd. but we cant really go to each and every shops or mall in a few hours. Along the road we saw Victoria Secret Flag Store and check it out:

The store is really huge and I love that big screen TV & the curved stairs! Got 2 bottles of mists for my sisters back home and its on promo 39$ for 2! Bargain 😍.

I also went to Astalift, the price in Malaysia is much cheaper but SG store have products that Malaysia don’t. Price wise, better buy the Jelly in KL, it save a lot!

Well to be honest orchard rd. is just a never ending street of massive shopping malls and we did not spend the whole day here as well as we need to go to the Lantern Festival at the Garden by The Bay. See you at the next post! xoxo

Singapore Trip Part-1

Hello again lovelies I shall continue from the last travel post!
Departing Bali to Singapore for a short Vacay (actually we all running out of Bali before the Volcano Erupt – Mount Agung). We flew Air Asia as its the No 1 Budget Airlines. Lucky for us to go soon after some villages has been evacuated.

img_7866.jpg
Food on Board – Chicken Manchurian

After we arrived Changi Airport, we took a taxi straight to the hotel 81 Elegance at Foch Rd. This place isn’t fancy, just a small room for sleeping and shower as we had enough rest in Bali and we will explore the City this time around.

img_7868
The Receptions

The room have a queen bed, kettle and some coffee and tea. Theres flatscreen tv on the wall too. Its funny i forgot to take the room photo probably too tired and the only photo i have is the bathroom. Nevertheless, the room is fine and bathroom is good, very clean and the shower is great! After 10 days of salt water shower in Bali I finally get the shower I deserved.

img_7870
Bathroom+Toilet

We had dinner downstairs as theres lots of Chinese stalls around the corner. Really cheap. You could get below 5$ meal.

After dinner we decided to get some cloths and we walk to City Square mall. The walk were about 15-20min depending on your walking speed.

img_7873

Its nice to walk in the evening, as many others too as its the most safe country in the world anyway.

img_7874

I only took some photos here and you can see there’s a lot of sales going on. Cheap bargains and lots of people too! We did our leisure attire shopping here for the next couple of days! Definitely no laundry and theres no time for that!.
