Burgers and Chicken

Oporto Restaurant

Is the meal here consider fast food? Im not too sure, but considering how they prepared these meals more to like Nandos kind of Chicken? I think it is healthily grilled. For example like the meals in the photo below: for the grilled chicken sets there is bread, chips and rice while the grilled beef burger is compliments with chips and garlic sauce. The price? Its slightly more than KFC and Hungry Jacks but its worth a try. Its my first time too!

Thus, meals that cost less than 30$ for two, is definitely good for the pocket!

The Burgundy Bar

Maybelline New York Palette

I believe most of us have heard about this Burgundy palette and I read many good feedback. My first impression looking at this palette is wow and so much shimmer. The colour is also deep and pigmented just from the glimpse of it. Maybelline is a reputable drugstore makeup brand so I guess they make a good decision on this one!

For only 19$ – I got it from Woolworths, is the cheapest I could find comparing to Priceline and Chemist. The photo below is taken with 3 tone shades consist of the 1st row -second and third from right and 2nd row second shades from the palette. This colours reminded me of the Huda Obsession Mauve palette! This is how it look like if your under the white light or at day time.

The Next photo is taken under the yellow light and you can see the bright shimmering, looks; light but sophisticated. Sorry taken by the front cam bit blurry.

For everyday use, YES, recommended and don’t forget your eyeshadow primer prior to this eyeshadows application for longer used. Don’t forget to let me know how was your experience with this palette if you have tried! XOXO

Max Brenner Chocolate Bar

Dessert Lover? You would love this.

I’ve seen this place but only got to check it out last week. The place is okay not very fancy and they sell chocolates in the cafes as well.

This is Melting chocolate Souffle. Similar to our volcano larva chocolate where when we cut, the larva melt out but this one it doesn’t because only a bit of it inside. But still, its nice and delicious because its not too sweet! It can be served with strawberry but i refused this time around.

Next is Cappuccino Chocolate. They Call this cup Kangaroo cup because theres a small compartment for the chocolate.. so when you sip the drink, the chocolate melt together in the sip,  =P interesting isn’t it!

Thats my Max Brenner Chocolate Bar first time experience and i hope they have something like Magnum though. *wink*

Nan Tien Temple

Nan Tien Temple – Wollongong

Nan Tien Temple which carry the meaning by “Southern Heaven Temple” is a Buddhist Temple complex located in Berkeley on the southern outskirts of the Australian city of Wollongong, about 80 km south of Sydney. It is one of the branch temples of the Taiwanese Fo Guang Shan Buddhist order, founded in 1967 by Hsing Yun,  which has over 120 branches worldwide. The temple is one of the largest Buddhist temples in the southern hemisphere, completed in 1995 (source wiki).

It was Chinese new Year Week 2018 and we decided to came to this temple to visit. There’s many people visiting on weekend though the tour buses and the car park was full when we arrives but we manage to find a parking anyway. Please scroll down to see the photo’s.

The area is so big so make sure you are fit to walk. There is a reputable vegetarian restaurant here but we did not manage to eat there because too many people was queuing and we do not want to wait. This is a good place to visit especially if you’re a Buddhist, you can  pray here.

Wollongong – Light House

A 2 hour drive from Sydney to come here is really worth it, I came here last 2 years and it’s so good to be back! The day was sunny, warm and windy.

I bought a mango-hazelnut ice-cream from the ice-cream van but the taste is just normal. Its the only vehicle that sell drinks and dessert there at the time.

We ordered Lychee mocktail and cappuccino. I really love these drinks – exceptional.

For the food I ordered steak and garlic prawns ( Char-grilled sirloin steak topped with garlic prawns and honey mustard sauce + fresh vegetables + Hog Tail Fries). I rate this meal as 8/10 as the steak is a bit chewy. The other menu my partner choose is beacon beef burger + Hog Tails Fries. Its tasty too.

Hogs_Australian_Steakhouse_food

Overall we think that this is a good place to have lunch and dinner. There’s so much crowd at 8pm and its better to get here early as the waiting after ordering is pretty long.

There’s a lunch treat $9.90 on weekdays as well as you may see in the photo below. You may dine here and wont break your pocket!
